Log: Aubrey R/Dair D
[Dair wondered why he didn't end up with a mansion of his own, but in truth, when he thought about it, it made sense. Because he didn't want a mansion, for one. He preferred apartments that were comfortable and also easily disposed of, since he didn't often stay around too long. Since the mansion was tied in with whatever business Neil found himself in now, he was more than okay with being outside of it for the time being. Besides, he was a decent but walkable distance from the fire department, and if the neighborhood was a little rougher than he was used to, he didn't think on it much.
For now the apartment itself is simple and spacious, without too many bells and whistles in it. Dair's more concerned with everything else going on. And the whole 'apparently we're stuck here and have histories we didn't know about.' He is anxious to see Aubrey and worried about whether it was safe to wander about, so he answers the door quickly after the second knock. He's in jeans and a Gotham FD t-shirt, but looks fairly normal. For whatever passes as normal around here.
He reaches out to grab Aubrey's collar and tugs him inside. He might not be worried himself in the neighborhood, but his partner, that is a different thing. The door is shut and locked behind them.] Sweetheart, you all right? [He gives a quick once over, making sure.]
