Re: In-person: Teddy/Vic
[She'd been with him since she left her girlhood behind, and her crush on him had started early enough that she'd no memory of not getting flustered when he entered a room. She remembered summers with her grandmum, the house full of cousins and he was the quietest of the lot, and he wasn't her cousin at all. She remembered all of it, and she twisted her hand within his grip, fingers curling around his in the old way, as if either of them were old enough to consider anything the old way.
His fingers twitched, and she looked down at them a moment and let him go. Fine, if he wished to be free of the grip, let him be free of the grip. Her lower lip trembled, but only a little, and she'd spent the entire summer drowning the cottage in tears. It had been her most un-Slytherin summer yet, and her mum had sent her to her grandmum, and the Veelas would know better how to soothe this ache.
They'd soothed nothing, of course; they'd no time.] I was in the Pyrenees. Dad sent me there after you ended things.
[A pause and silence, then her wand from her pocket and she didn't care about shoes left behind if she apparated them right there, right then.] What was on the mix CD?
[Because, at the end of the day, she was just a girl aged up beyond her years, trying to be stoic.]
