Re: Hogsmeade: Victoire & Fleur
Fleur considered the question with a tap of her nail against her glass. “Would I? Of course I would. Men can be so dramatic about things but really it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity. You doesn’t often have the opportunity to speak to your children on a certain level - as equals, perhaps - until they are much more grown.” She thought of her own parents and wondered, even when she was older, if she would feel anything other than simply their daughter. There was a part of her that doubted that.
Then she rapped her nail against her drink once more before giving a sly smile to the girl across from her. “So,” she started, running the tip of her finger idly against the side, “Shall I guess, then, that you are mine?” The smile deepened as the question left her lips. There was a slight chance that she was off her mark, it was true. But Fleur was far more clever than most people gave her credit for, even after being chosen as the Beauxbaton Champion. With the remarks at Gringotts at calling her Mrs. Weasley and talk on the journals encouraging her to speak to a French Weasley, and the girl’s face reminding her so much of Gabrielle, there were very few other conclusions to make once one remembered the time displacement as of late.
