Re: Log: Iris/Hatter
The shift of time was like water around her feet, and Iris found that already even, she couldn't say how long she'd been through the door into Wonderland. Perhaps just a few minutes (she felt like that might be the right answer), but maybe a day. Or two. She didn't know, but she found it not mattering to her. Not in that particular moment.
No, just then she was staring at the bottles in Hatter's cupboard, watching as he picked one up and showed it to her. Wonderland was strange, of course it was, but she'd never imagined that emotions could be bottled. Not past the sort of medications she knew, the ones that could dull emotions, make everything shift just a little bit. But that didn't seem to be what he was talking about...
She found herself across the space, skirts moving heavily around her as she stopped close to him, close to the cupboard. Her fingers reached out to touch the bottle he still held and then shifted over to trace carefully along the others. Some were labeled, and she traced the letters, but some were not. "You made them?" Her question slipped out without forethought, but she wasn't even looking at him, still at the bottles. She did glance over at the talk of jumping off a cliff, though. And she smiled, just a little. "I don't want to jump off a cliff. It's okay."
