Re: [Beacon Hills Hospital]
Stiles said Lydia's name twice in his head before he started to say it out loud, and then all of a sudden her eyes were focusing on him and he started to get a really bad feeling. It was a nervous, anxious feeling that he recognized, but he was still pretty far from a panic attack, so he took a very deep, steadying breath, and tried to make all that energy settle. He could hear Alex on television and the Jeopardy three-note chime playing before all the blue clues were introduced, a nurse's shoes squeaking by outside, someone paging a doctor, and Lydia talking.
Someone was supposed to bring his other meds when he saw the counselor later. Right. He really didn't want Lydia around for that, he didn't want her to think he was totally crazy. For the same reason, he didn't want to sleep when she was in the room. He smiled weakly and gave a little scoffing sound, sliding unwillingly a little farther down into the unfamiliar pillows. "I'm really... I mean I'm not fine-fine but I'm fine. I don't think I got as much electricity as Scott," he added, sotto voice.
Stiles looked at the screen, trying to keep his eyes open. He needed to stay awake while Lydia was there. "I'm not tired. I can stay up and watch you make these guys look like third grade dropouts." He slid a little farther down. His eyes got heavier. He wasn't going to be able to sleep without his pillow anyway. No way he was falling asleep with Lydia Martin in his bed.
He was asleep before the next clue. Alex said, "Ray Bradbury took the title of this 'evil' book from 'Macbeth', Act IV, Scene I, Line 45."
