Re: log, Hogsmeade: Victoire W/Sirius B/some James P & Teddy R
He hadn't gotten away with it, no. The very sharp, not at all perfectly shaped shins smacked into James' face as it turns out and his glasses spilled out from beneath the cloak before he did in a loud clatter. He scraped them back up—and to the outside eye, they simply disappeared in a fold of air, to nothingness. Inside the cloak, which still reeked of cigarette smoke, James was trying to put them on, and mostly failing as he was also trying to look at the approach of silly looking shoes.
He heard the note in Sirius' voice, the one he got when he was actually scared, and James didn't waste a moment.
In complete and utter disarray, he tried to come out from beneath the table. He more or less climbed into Sirius' lap, the cloak clutched in his hand. He muttered a few phrases and the cloak was gone. The boy with the messy black hair and thick glasses smiled as he scooted around Sirius to stand. There was no embarrassment there. He was tall and lanky and he did not, absolutely did not have a son.
"Oh, hello. Fancy meeting you lot here. Strange, improbable, et cetera." He adjusted the cuff of his robe, but his rambling was cut off when the boy with the colored hair caught his eye. Something about his expression was so... Remus-y it was disturbing. James experienced the same stomach-dropping sensation. His brown eyes flicked to Sirius, then back. "Don't tell me you're Teddy Lupin—" And that was desperate emphasis. "Remus is a virgin and discovering his son is the Muggle whatever it is will be too much of a shock to his fragile system."
