Like she had, Jack nodded. "Ready." He was already growing hungry, but he was far more curious to find out about her: what she'd been doing, how things were going in her life, and about the son that made her eyes so bright. Their walk out to the spot he knew gave him a chance to ask and the afternoon was spent with plenty of much needed laughter and in very welcome company.
