Claire Bennet just wants to cheer (cheerhappy) wrote in rooms,
How long did you live around here? [Given the accent, Claire figured he probably wasn't from New York, but had lived there, so it seemed a safe enough question to ask. Her own accent clearly said she came from Texas, even if she hadn't lived there for a few years now.
At his question, she paused to consider it seriously for a moment, then finally met his eyes directly, speaking with absolute conviction.] No one should be afraid to be who they are, or hide what they can do. It isn't right. And I hate the fact that there's someone out there experimenting on people, but no one seems to want to do anything about it. [She, personally, just didn't have the resources to find someone like that, and didn't really know where to start. Ra's had told her to find something to believe in, to care about, and she had: her people.]
I don't want to hide, and no one else should be forced to do so.
