The Hotel: Jude/War WHO: Jude Murphy and War WHAT: A deal to be struck WHERE: Sixth floor of the hotel WHEN: Nowish. WARNINGS/RATINGS: Maybe references to violence, TBD.
A deal was struck, or at the very least, a deal had the possibility of being put on the table. Jude was a lawyer, he saw negotiations for what they were, and he was also a shark. He knew how to word things specifically, how to make sure he understood all aspects of a deal before he agreed to it. It wasn't entirely smart to show all his cards, by making it clear he had few scruples if it meant saving Clementine, but he would still maintain his pride. He made it to the sixth floor of the hotel, but they hadn't specific a room in particular. He decided to haunt the hallways instead, looking at the doors, wondering how many of them were possible to be opened and where they went. Gatsby worked for him. He had money and prestige and a job waiting for him. He liked the time period. He was cautious, most of the time.
Jude was a handsome young man, that was immediately what most people noticed about him. He dressed for it too, he was wearing a dark suit perfectly tailored to his tall, strapping build. His hair was sleek and dark, eyes a forest green that seemed darker from a distance. He perfected a mask of calm and pleasant, so even while at rest his face appeared open and inviting. It took years to cultivate that, when he was still young and having his coltish period. Once he was past it, mimicking his father first and then developing his own style, it stuck with him. Gatsby didn't change it. If anything it suited him perfectly that way.
He waited and had no idea what to expect. But he was ready.
