Re: Corner couch: Banner/Harl
That was absolutely the last thing Bruce expected. The last. So much the last that at first he sat there in complete shock. He had no idea they went from having a heart to heart to her straddling him, and he gave a startled 'mmmf!' when she kissed him. He was grateful now that Selina wasn't anywhere in sight, because he had no idea how to explain that. Of course if she was there, he would be with her, and not camped out a couch as easy pickings.
Still his brain snapped back to reality after what felt like an hour, but was probably only a second. Since pushing her off was too violent for him, Bruce was never violent toward women, instead he pulled away from her as fast as possible. His head jerked back hard enough that it managed to clang a little with the edge of the couch back. He saw stars for as brief a time as the kiss lasted. "No, uh, no no, thank you for the thought, but no. No." He didn't want to hurt her feelings, and he managed to mumble out a way that might be rejection without meanness. "It's not personal, I only kiss her."
That message given and hopefully she'd take it, he grabbed her by the hips and tried to detach her from him. His body scooted out from under her and he shot to the other side of the couch.
