Re: Corner couch: Banner/Harl
Bruce so far managed to talk with people, but no matter what, he seemed content to be in his little corner. He was forever the one to either disappear or stand out, so at least he was avoiding small talk for now. He talked to the people he liked already and that helped, but he wasn't going to go out of his way for a stranger. It was part of why he was hesitant when he saw the blonde coming his way; he hadn't met Harley for himself. He heard her voice and her clothing was sort of loud and obvious. But she could be anyone. He had a momentary deer in the headlights look and smoothed it over. He was in his damn forties. Get it together, Banner.
The clothes were a little eschew and Banner had a keen sense of smell. He was an observer, and he noted all the small things. He knew the smell of all three things, sex at least a lot more now that he was having it. He was wary and then she talked, and he instantly relaxed. Harley. For whatever reason, he was at ease with the Gotham rogue, and his smile was completely genuine. Of course even with friends he was nervous about personal space, but he assumed she wouldn't care about that.
"People watching. It's an interesting group here. Also I traded in water for soda, I'm going wild tonight." Bruce didn't drink alcohol and usually not caffeine either, but he was having a good time. Take that, minor doses of adrenaline. He eyed her and wasn't sure if he wanted to ask the next question, but he was amused. "I see you're having a great time so far."
