Re: dancefloor: eddie/steph.
Eddie fought off the first round of kisses and eventually gave in, hand reaching to hold her jaw as he slowed that last kiss to something romantic. "I love you too, Nashton." Eddie owed at the bit lip and then grinned. "Why is that funny? I talk about baseball all the time." He looked at her with his eyebrows up, gears going as fast as they could even when tipsy on margaritas. It took a good five seconds for him to get it, she could see that green light bulb go off over his head and he smiled slyly at her. "I don't believe for a second we'll ever really make it out there." He said, hinting around what he already knew. Eddie had given up trying to get her to go to a baseball game with him. There was just so much to do and it wasn't exactly her favorite thing in the whole world.
"With our luck, I'll get you a hat and a jersey and the stadium will get blown up the day we're supposed to go out there." Eddie rolled his head to look at her, all fluttered dryness before looking back at the dance floor. "I wish I could take you back in time. Baseball was different in the 40's. Everything creaked and rumbled and roared like a rollercoaster." He reached his arm around her, kissing her shoulder. "I wish I could show you what Gotham used to be like. It was so wacky, you'd never believe it. I drove a giant corn on the cob around. Batman! Riddle me this! Why is corn so hard to escape from! Because it's a maize." Eddie panned his hand out in front of him and then laughed at how ridiculous he was back then. But, then, everyone was.
