Re: Dance Floor: Diana/Clark
Clark wasn't invited to weddings very often, and while he found his presence at this one incredibly strange, he wasn't going to complain about it. It was a nice wedding, and he'd grown used to Eddie being around, and even found him enjoying his company after a while. And before too long they were friends and now here they were.
He hadn't had an opportunity to speak to Bruce yet, and he wasn't sure that he would attempt it, he could see when someone wanted to make an escape and as much as he disagreed with that whole idea, he understood it and didn't want to add to it. But he was content to spend the evening with Diana and enjoying everyone's company. He wasn't so dense not to notice the thick layer of tension that everyone was trying not to break - but as long as no one did, he felt pretty okay about things.
He wasn't much for dancing, but he wasn't likely to tell Diana no, especially at a wedding surrounded by people he knew and respected! "I am happy to be with you too, Diana. I am fairly certain it's only a matter of time before someone starts hollering, but for now we can almost pretend it's a nice normal evening." he said with a bit of a wry smile, because really. They were the most stable people in the room and if they didn't smile about it from time to time they'd join the rest of them in dramatown.
