Re: dancefloor: eddie/steph.
Eddie practically stopped dancing when she kissed him like that and he pulled her close. The music didn't swell romantically, but the riddled man thought it should in that very second. He had a moment, an almost out of body experience that told him simply that here he was on the dance floor with his wife who loved him more than air. Who wanted to be with him the rest of his life despite his riddles and his obsessions and the way he meddled with just about everything. Here she was. And, it wasn't so much worship of her, he stopped doing that after a year or so. It wasn't even that he thought she was too good for him. For better or worse, Eddie knew Stephanie was full of just as many faults and just as much baggage. No, it was something else. In that moment, he let himself just admire how he had become a half of a whole. Who would have thought that could happen?
When Eddie pulled back from the kiss, he looked dazed like he had just followed down a path of thinking that got him all riddled. Not in a bad way. Almost as if he had his head in the clouds. "Okay, baby." He tugged at her, swaying to the music just barely on the right beat. "I propose that we make the most of the night. Either we go make our rounds now after a fresh drink or we play a little truth or dare."
