Re: TWD: Clem & Isaac
"You always were a real charmer." It was true. It explained why her momma had liked him so well. She'd even encouraged Clem seeing a man that was twenty when she was just sixteen. He'd never been violent, never been anything but kind. But he could take a person down without blinking, break them without ever throwing a punch. He wasn't above going after things close to folks, and he wasn't above destroying other people to make the person who wronged him shatter. That was what scared her about Isaac. If he threw punches, it would be simple as pie to shrug him right off.
She closed her eyes when he kissed her temple, blue going shuttered for a spell. "I'm not sure where I'm going yet. You got any clue?" she asked, and she knew that wicked smile, and she knew what that squeeze to her shoulder meant. And she knew, sitting there, that she'd showed her hand too early. She tried to remember what all she'd told him, who all she'd mentioned, what he could hit her with hard, beneath the belt and where her belly was softest.
Course, all that thinking was for nothing; she knew precisely what her soft spot was these days. She gave him a real brilliant smile. "You can have anything you want, honey, sure as the day is long."
