After everything had gone down back in Savannah, Isaac had packed up without a look back, because with as much money as that doting daddy of hers gave him, he didn't have need to be looking back and causing trouble. So he moved on, but Isaac didn't forget things like that, not easily, at least.
His arm was comfortable around her shoulders, and he returned the grin as they settled in against the headboard together, just like nothing bad had ever gone down between them. "Keep your head down and don't cause any trouble, and they seem to not mind you at all. Anyone who starts questioning things, though, or starts taking more than they're offered... well, that doesn't seem to get along well here." He didn't like the rules at all, but he liked them better than being dead, and staying alive here seemed a lot easier than out there with the dead things walking.
