Re: Thor/Selina
[A long pause. There are many things to tell about Loki, his skill in battle, his skill with seiĆ°r, his vast intelligence and sharp wit. But none of these things are what she is looking for, he thinks.] On the morning before his trial, Loki and I left the Citadel together and flew to Idunn's groves, where she grows her golden apples. They are sweeter than honey, crisp, and every bite is a memory of something better. They can restore health and extend the life of any that east them, but always I remember my brother. As children, when we ran through the Citadel, on our fathers' knees as he told us stories of the Nine Realms, sneaking into his room when they separated us so I could watch the shadows playing on his walls as he repeated the same stories our father had told us.
And later, when I found girls and he found books, and yet we still met in my mother's gardens where I would bring him cakes from the kitchen. I'd lay my head on his thigh and he'd snarl about how I better not make him dirty and how abominably filthy I was and could I not bathe after sparring? But he'd still take the cakes and his licked clean fingers through my hair after until I fell asleep.
