Re: Penthouse: Selina K/Harley Q
She laughed when Harley pulled that face, and it was a husky and entertained laugh, because she understood precisely what that face meant. "He'll be bored to tears in a month," she predicted of the Bat, and it wasn't nice, and it wasn't sweet, and it was all Cat. And maybe she was wrong. Maybe this Bat did need sweet and kind and dull. He had loved that lawyer once, hadn't he? And she was so boring. But still, it felt nice to flex her claws with someone who would gladly mallet a person's head in. Gotham, and she didn't think anyone in Marvel could understand Gotham's particular brand of grey.
"You stay as long as you want. Invite Thorns to come play blanket fort with you. I won't be gone long." She wasn't actually looking forward to what she expected to be some horrible exercise in sisterhood and knowing oneself, but she liked Stephanie enough to go. She wasn't sure the little blonde bat understood her very well - that was all Eddie - but she understood the little blonde bat, and maybe that was enough. And she knew Stephanie's priorities now, she understood them. That helped the kitty cat navigate.
She gave Harley a last tug to a pigtail, and she gave Martha a last scratch beneath the shiny new collar-bracelet. "I'll be back."
