Re: Maggie, Amelia & Joshua
[Amelia lifted a hand to help Joshua move part of his shirt over his nose. It wasn't a perfect solution, and temporary, but it wouldn't help them in the least if he got sick all over the place while they were leaving. The ordinary prison and dead smell she'd been getting used to, but this was a higher level, and even she could get nauseated with it under her nose. She swallowed it down and focused on getting them out.
Dark eyes lifted to Maggie's face, and she understood exactly how dire it was. She nodded.] Thank you. [She was volunteering to make a distraction, to have the attention on her, putting herself in more danger. It would be smarter to leave them instead, they were dead weight. Maggie was willingly giving them a better chance.] If we live through this, I owe you a few hundred drinks. [To say the least.]
It's a good thing I had years of field hockey. [Amelia was a good sprinter. It was something. She nodded to show Maggie she was ready, leaning back on her heels, ready to shoot off.]
