Re: Mind Palace: Charles/Erik
[Erik stopped at the hand up and bolstered up in walls within seconds. He knew he was about to be on the receiving end of emotions that he could not possibly understand or connect with. He struggled with emotional connection when they first met, and it was still near impossible for him. He closed himself in every possible way, so how was this foppish annoyingly optimistic man capable of getting under his thick skin?
He sighed when Charles spoke.] That we would work together despite our differences to save the day? And I would change my mind on our fundamental disagreements and come back to the school to become the benevolent teacher? [It was a life he couldn't envision for himself, not truly.] If that future was true, it is only a matter of time before we would be put in camps and destroyed. Perhaps it changed, perhaps not, but the possibility is there. And I will never let that happen again.
