Re: Camp: Lagertha/Ragnar
He felt her relax and tense in turns against his side, but he did not press for more when he felt her relax, nor shift when she tensed. Instead he remained as still as the rock that she needed him to be and his grin widened when he felt her smile in the shift of her cheek against his shoulder.
"If you were Rollo, I would want you to shave," he said after a moment's consideration, and after scratching the hairs that lined his own chin, but there was a glint in his eyes that suggested playfulness. The change did not happen here. He had never been in Jack's body while he was within his own world and when she had returned from where she was, she was within her own body again. Then, all playfulness aside, he considered. Her skill within Rollo's strength of arm - how formidable would she be then?
Ragnar had never looked upon his brother as he looked upon Lagertha, but they had never been brought together as that place did with them. What would he do then, if Rollo and Lagertha were so mixed? He didn't know. "Our stories tell of the gods who can change shape. Odin, Loki, even Thor who dressed as a woman. If they decide that this is your fate, then what can we do?" And what would be the point of trying to fight against it? If the gods needed them in separate bodies, then they had a reason for that need and they, as followers of the gods, should do their best to fulfill whatever part they had been cast in.
"They want us here for a reason. They gave you this. They gave me the - city and the healer for a purpose. We may not know why, we may never know."
