The other woman kept smiling, and that... that was a good thing. Along with the soothing sorts of words, it helped bring her back around to feeling more confident, accepting the body's influence. It kept her rooted, not fleeing, as she waited for a reply. One that came after that brief flicker of tongue that drew her attention down to the mouth that had already kissed her once.
But her thoughts were still caught, wrapped around something more serious. So she dragged her gaze back up with a supreme force of will and a flash of green. "She won't be." The words were almost too quiet, breathy now along with the unintentional little purr to them. "She's hated me for... a long time." And then, something in her sparked a laugh, either her own mind, or something bright that had been stirred into the tea. "She might even blame this on me." She shook her head, and looked down, that dark hair shifting to the side and then forward, curtaining a part of her face. She didn't even notice, or register, that step taken closer.
