Re: Inside the Memory Emporium
She gave him a long look, trying to keep the amusement off of her face and failing, quite badly. "I think if we were going to get in trouble, we would have already," she started, and then she leaned close, pointing out a couple of the people that were walking about that didn't pay a lick of attention to those around them. "If someone asks, we'll blame it on them, right? It can be our little secret." A half smile and she reached up to tuck some hair behind her ear, just moments before he took her arm and steered her towards another aisle.
The question came as some surprise, brows lifting as she tried to figure out how to put it into words. "Just some things I might like to forget someday. Some things that have caused me nothing but trouble." And it was tempting, entirely too tempting. But then there was the worry about what would happen if she did forget. What would that make her? Those things had helped form who she was today, good or bad, and to forget them... it just felt like it might set off something she wasn't prepared for. The thoughts were clear on her face, the curiosity and indecision, brows furrowed as she glanced back towards the shelves and the promises that were offered.
