Re: Tea Shop Window
"No." It was a simple answer, perhaps a little too bold for the moment, but she had no desire to cloak herself in more lies than the hotel had already wrapped her in. "You're only lacking in something if you feel you are. Some people are content with who they are and feel no need to change." Like her. No, she wasn't perfect, but she was content enough with who she was that she didn't feel a need to change things about herself or to say that she was lacking something. Lacking implied weakness, and she wasn't going to act weak around people.
She looked over the blond's shoulder at the mall full of walkers that moved nearby, and then that hand swept back to her and she cracked a grin, gap-toothed and a little too at ease with that cupful of peace she was nursing. There was an answer on the tip of her tongue, ready to come out with what she thought might be interesting, but then she saw the pale of the skin, that moment of shock, that moment where you knew someone saw something they didn't like. She picked up on it, sharp as a tack, and relaxed as she was, it didn't stop her from zeroing in on it. "What did you see?" she asked, voice dropped to a whisper, all hush hush and secretive.
