"I'm guessing it's something like that," he responded with a shrug of noe shoulder, and he still couldn't get over the weirdness of being in this body. It felt strange to move, strange to even breathe, because nothing was the same as what he was used to. "Just the hotel filling in the gaps to make it seem a little more," or that was the best he could come up with given the circumstances.
He watched as she sat, thankfully a polite distance away, a breath released as he willed himself to relax. "This isn't my body as well, but we have to make do with what we have, don't we?" He managed a small smile at that, something a little crooked and off-center, but handsome enough with the rugged features he sported. "And I'm going to guess no. Unless that's what you enjoy doing, then I say... have at it?" He gestured at the world beyond them, relaxing a little more as the moments ticked by. This would end eventually, wouldn't it? Go back to normal, to the way things were meant to be. That life wasn't perfect, but it was his, and he was protective of the things that belonged to him.
