Inside the Memory Emporium
She was beginning to think that there wasn't a thing that could or would surprise her anymore. Every time she turned around, something else was there to throw the world into a tail spin, and she could only stumble around and throw up so many times in reaction before she just got used to it. So yeah, she was a little nauseous at everything changing again, and a big part of her wondered how long this was going to be for. Just the hotel messing with them for a day, or was it something bigger than that? Would she be stuck like this?
There was no one in the bathroom with her when she stood at the counter with the sinks in order to look in the mirror. Brow hair, at least that was similar, but that's where it all ended. She supposed it could be worse, though thinking of what worse could be just left her wanting to throw up again, so she pushed that thought down and out of the way and ran her hands down the front of the red dress she found herself in. Sleeveless with enough of a 'V' to show off some cleavage, she was good looking. The skirt flared out at her hips, just enough of a swing in it to give some movement when she walked, and as she turned to take a look at her profile, a smile came to her lips.
Yeah, could definitely be worse.
So she ran her fingers through her hair and put some order to it before stepping out and into the shopping center, pausing as she took in her new environment. Shop after shop for as long as the eye could see, people milling this way and that, and none of them paying her a lick of attention. Again, could be worse. So she joined the throngs of people moving this way and that, walking with surprising ease despite the unfamiliar heels her feet were squeezed into.
A bit more walking and she found herself in front of a shop with a playful interior. Memory Emporium. It reeled her in, sparking some need that she hadn't ever really thought about before. The promises of forgetting, of putting things in a drawer and locking them up tight - yeah, that was tempting. Everyone had something they'd like to forget, right? So she perused the signs, she thought, but she didn't take a dive.
