Re: luke h/wren h
[He's certainly not going to turn down a little help, and he grins at the draper when he waves him in. The guy seems nice enough, and so does his wife, so Luke tries really, really hard not to laugh when he sees the suit. He figures it might be kind of rude. Normally he'd never wear something like that in a million years, but it's for Wren, and so he changes obligingly so the proper alterations can be made; he hopes he won't have to wear it somewhere he'll stand out but he knows he probably will. She'd know for sure that the suit really wasn't his style, to say the least.
It bothers him a little that she already paid, but he doesn't let it linger. And of course he can't be honest about how they met, so he thinks about it for a few seconds before responding, choosing his words carefully. He tells the man's wife that they met when he was a stupid teenager and she ended up saving him instead of the other way around; vague, but said with a smile that speaks to a certain degree of honesty.
Once the alterations are made and he's back in his normal clothes, he accepts the satchel of coins, looks inside, and reads the note. Down the street he goes, and he spends a long time in the curio shop. Making a choice is hard but he finally settles on something, 'because she's my queen' he tells the man behind the counter, and then he returns to the draper's shop.
Again, he tries not to laugh once he's in the suit. And he manages, barely.]
