They worked for her too. [It was said with a certain fondness and from Hal that was a rare thing indeed. Dinah was always Ollie's girl in his head, even when he was asking her out, it was only to see if it might prompt something within the other man to step up. It hadn't, and then she'd left. Just gone. And things between he and Ollie had gotten so damn weird -- and not thinking about it.]
That's what I said. But he did. Believed in whatever load of crap they were hocking as gold. [A frown.]
Yeah, she got out eventually. It was a lot of political BS. [No fondness there, just crisp, sharp facts.]
And yeah. Gotham is the Bat's city though. We come when he needs help, like when they locked up a bunch of his people and we had to provide a diversion. [A grin, because that had been fun, even if Bruce had never cracked a smile.] I wasn't here for it, but if you know him, he could tell you more.
[He did a little shift when she asked where he lived, because Carol always got pissed when he missed his bills.] Nah. Ollie and I used to live at his place in Star City, but I'm mainly on Oa now. [Yeah, that sounded good.] Gotham doesn't have a whole lot to see, but I can show you some stuff. [Gotham had to have stuff besides craggy old worn down buildings, right? And he probably shouldn't show her Wayne Mansion, or the Batcave. The Batcave would be like showing off another man's bachelor pad and -- no. He so wasn't going there.]
