Re: log: eddie/steph
Eddie didn't dwell on the Earth-3 topic, didn't ask for details. He knew, he could probably guess her top five worst memories from there. It wasn't that he was trying to avoid the bad, after all he eventually agreed to talk about his own anxiety that was supposed to go unnoticed while she was here. To Eddie, it was more about trying to avoid the unnecessary pain, to know when to pull punches and when to stop digging. Years ago, he wouldn't understand that balance and she would think he was trying to keep part of the world from her. Now, it was more of a mutual glossing over.
"Dependency issues? No." He fluttered his eyelids sarcastically and sat down on the bed next to her, handing her a burger and drink. "We're in Gotham, what do they expect? Should I take a cooking class to avoid you? Go make some friends you don't like?" Eddie opened the foil surrounded his burger and was about to take a bite when she grabbed his tie and tugged him close. Eddie gave her a small, smarmy look. Dark eyes heavy with a want for her that he was good at hiding until she needled close. "I love you, too. I love you." He couldn't say it enough. Neither of them could. "Dependency my ass. We're getting married, damn it. What do they expect?"
