Re: Watchower: Clark/Diana/Zatanna
"War brings people together that would otherwise refuse to be in the same room with one another, especially where some egos are concerned." She smiled. "In my experience, it comes with a lot of bickering at the top of everyone's lungs, but sometimes it is the only way to survive. No one has told me yet that this Gotham is the best thing in the world, so I suspect it is like war." She could not imagine that Bruce Wayne was so changed as to be a man who trusted easily. If he trusted his nemesis, then she would give the man the benefit of the doubt. "Hal is reliable here?" Hal Jordan was reckless, dangerous, but that might not be the case in whatever timeline he hailed from.
She was unsurprised by confirmation of Damian's passing. She had attended his funeral a year earlier. "He can recover. Healing, that's another question." She looked around Watchtower again, and then she regarded her friends once more. "If you want me here, I'm at your disposal. I'm sure you'll need to discuss it," she said, understanding. She'd left this League behind to be part of her own, Steve Trevor had seen to that, but she had continued to consult for Bruce. None of her people were here; she would be able to sense them if they were. "My team isn't here. I reached out already." She said it with a calm that was only slightly feigned. She had only just arrived, and they might still come. In the meantime, she would prefer occupation to idleness. Meditation could only do so much, and it seemed she was alone in still looking over her shoulder for the Syndicate.
