Re: Wayne Manor: Eddie/Diana
Eddie drank his coffee and listened carefully. He made a humming noise at that last thought and added wisely: "And, it won't be the last time." He was starting to see the threads that connected the two different sides of super humans. Those who used their powers for good and those who exploited them for their own gain. He had only known his side of the coin well until the past five years on Earth-3. Eddie folded his arms together on the countertop and bowed his head in thought.
"Rogues hurt each other all the time. We expect it and we forgive it in an instant. It's hard to hold a grudge in Gotham because everyone has hurt you in some way. Someone's strapped a bomb to your chest or hit you over the head with thorns or locked you in a basement just for laughs. It's expected, the betrayal. And, we laugh about it later while we're all stuck in Arkham." Eddie shook his head and took another sip of coffee. "I'm the worst there is at holding grudges because of it. I'd forgive just about anything as long as it didn't involve Stephanie." Eddie smiled up at Diana brightly. Maybe some people would see Stephanie as a weakness, but caring about something that much was a strength to him.
He smiled a little longer until his brain tick tocked to remind him about Selina. "Speaking of important women in our lives." Eddie sighed. "Selina got captured by Ra's and you're officially on standby if things go bad. I don't think they will, I think this is a game, but the Dark Knight trusts you to save all our asses if things go south and so do I."
