[The Batcave]
[Selina isn't in the best of places. And that? That's a serious understatement.
She gets to the batcave a few minutes after Eddie and Dickie, because she learned the backway with Damian, and it seems like that was lifetimes ago. And, really, it's been ages since she's been inside. She tries to remember when the last time was, but it eludes her. Before she aged up? Possibly. Back then, she would paw her way in and out of the cave without ever considering she wasn't wanted there.
Yeah, a lifetime ago.
She doesn't make noise coming in, and she's leaning in the doorway to Dickie's room in the medical wing, and this makes her think of the plague somehow. That makes her shudder.
She's in the suit, but the ears and goggles are nowhere to be found, and her claws aren't out. She has her arms crossed over her stomach, right bicep obviously thickly wrapped beneath the suit's sleek black, and her posture unintentionally guarded and defensive. Her eyes are red-rimmed and swollen from crying; she doesn't even bother trying to hide it.
She waits until Eddie turns, and she gives him a wordless smile that doesn't come close to reaching her mossy green eyes. She doesn't ask how Dickie's doing. She doesn't need to.]
