Re: Jess/Tony
And believe me when I say, we're all fuck ups. How-do-you-live-with-yourself fuck ups. Why-does-the-world-rely-on-us fuck ups. The country voted to pass the law on registration. The body count that we've gathered over the decades stockpiled too high, when a bunch of kids ended up on the top of it. I don't know what I would've done if I was on Earth, which side I would've taken. Registration won because for every one of us who know what we're doing, there are ten people gaining powers and using it for the wrong reasons, or losing control and killing bystanders. Cap looked at the devastation that was left in the wake of the war, and it was all the innocents who lost, not the rest of us. It's not as simple as black and white.
Tony's a good person. He's saved the world more times than I can count. He did what he thought was right for the people he swore to protect. We might not agree on the hows or whys, but I know him. He's forgiven the rest of us for our fuck ups.
