Re: Avengers Taco Tuesday
[If Steve was disappointed by the earlier withdrawals of Stark and Banner from the frontlines of the Avengers—if he thought that it was both a shame and a useless bit of self-punishment on their parts, though it was their choice—he said nothing about it. He was young and he wore his heart on his sleeve, to be sure, but Steve had never really been immature enough to try to guilt others for the decisions they made.—Debate or talk out, yes. Guilt? Not so much. To him that was a violation of their right to do what they thought was best for themselves. As long as it wasn't hurting anyone else, there was nothing he could do.
The man stood now, watching Banner begin to create his taco, and he thought a moment.] Sad to say, I don't know, to be honest. [His smile wilted a little.] I never had much of a choice. Just ate what I got. I'm not picky. [He lifted another plate from the table for himself and made his way back to the island. He wasn't openly heartbroken about it—it was just another fact of life from growing up in the Depression and being thrust into war—you never really got much a chance for self-exploration in terms of personal likes. Steve hardly knew what he liked to do, besides draw. That was just how it was.]
