Re: Dream: Billy/Wanda
[A thought, a lift of her hand, and the overhead lights that were rarely ever turned on buzzed and sparked to life. It sparked off the shards of the cage, still hovering, suspended in air as she took a slow step forward. Another step, another light flickered on. The stairs she took slower, too much time in the cage and not enough time out of it.
The floor here was cool, her toes curling slightly with every step as she walked past the empty rows of computers, past the office where the Baron and the thing stayed. Light did not flicker between her fingers as another set of lights went on, buzzing like angry bees as she rounded the last bank of computers and saw him there, on the floor, sprawled out as if he'd been knocked down.
Her knees gave out, crumbled like match sticks and she hit the ground hard, but it didn't stop her from moving forward, from crawling on her palms and with the slide of her knees over the hard floor to get to him.] William, William, William. [All whispered, each of them urgent.]
