Re: Dream: Jude/Alexander
[Affection was better known to Alex, but appropriate displays of it had to wait until he'd left his home. Before then, they had been wildly inappropriate and mostly with his sisters (and still was at times) but he had learned other ways, with other people. There was still tension in his shoulders, but as soon as he had Jude's arms around him without the desire to go after the blood he couldn't sense, he relaxed.]
No. No, of course not. We let Chloe go too far without reeling her in as we should have. [And which of them was at fault for that? All of them, but the fault could not be placed squarely on anyone's shoulders, except perhaps Clementine. Alex felt fine about blaming her.]
We all do monstrous things to protect the ones we love. Why would this have been any different? Because between all of us at least one of us should have known better? We did what it is in our nature to do.
