In my time Latin has been removed from Mass. A Papal Council convened in the early 1960s and one of the decisions made was for Mass to be said in the vernacular language. And many schools in my time no longer offer Latin as a language to be taken.
[He smiles a little] I believe that science is a means God gave us to try and grasp the wonders He made and understand the world better. Indeed I almost think of science as another sort of religion for those who do not wish to accept there could be a God.
I believe, Fraulein, that just because you are a woman does not mean your words are of any less value than a man's. In the story of Adam and Eve, God made Eve from Adam's rib, not so that he could be above her, but so that they could be equals. Or so is my interpretation.
[He thinks for a moment at her words] There is a door in my world that leads to a hotel, an inn, that holds doors to other lands. The twenty first century is a strange and marvelous place, even to those born in it. There are horseless drawn carriages called cars that transport people from one place to another. There are boxes with a glass screen that allow one to see things from far distant lands and be entertained. There are even things called aircrafts that allow man to fly like a bird.
