Re: Log: Faol R/Mai S
They used to talk about it, on the journals. Some people always had the same other, some people had multiples. [But he had liked Laura and understood what it was like to feel lost in a world he shouldn't feel lost in. But they both did and for a time, they muddled through it together.] It feels crazy, and random, and I don't think it was at all.
[He shifted a little in his seat, seemingly to get more comfortable. He'd been a believer once; he hadn't just drunk the Kool-Aid, he guzzled it. Until the last mission, until he was lost and he came home to be branded a rogue.] Sometimes you believe you're doing the right thing until you learn you aren't. [He glanced down at his lap, not at her.] I just want to see what they're selling. [Life had taught him to be paranoid about pretty much everyone.]
