Jess had the opposite of a normal family background. She didn't begrudge her friend having a real one. Anyone who got one of those was lucky, and they knew it. She would take sexist jerk over Hydra scientist any day. "It's not really a comparison, and I doubt it's one they'd make. You know how little Avengers judge one another. It's the one thing we can all agree on." It was difficult for her not to cling to some surface, sitting on a wall or ceiling felt more natural to her than anything else.
