Jess looked shocked, and her mind immediately raced to find out if there was any reason that would've happened recently. Nothing stood out to her. Maybe after? She had no idea. "Bloody hell." Her British side rarely came out, she'd long lost the accent or at least subdued it since coming to America, but there were moments when cursing just seemed like the thing to do. "I'll ask him about it. Doc Ock sharing his mind. That must've been a nightmare."
She looked at the cat and smiled. She wasn't a cat person herself, but Carol loved it. "Looks like everyone but Tony. Usually I'd find that strange, but considering he has no idea who I am, I guess it's to be expected." Jess wasn't taking it personally, just this once. She didn't know what to expect from this one, although she got a few ideas from Pepper. "So, Steve told me you were troubled about Boston." Getting right to the chase, because that's what they did. Jess drank a little coffee. "I don't think he knew the reason why it bothered you. No emotional tie?" See, Jess knew all about Carol and Rogue, better than anyone else.
