“This your other sister, then?” It was obvious, as this description seemed to be as far from the Vegas Murphys and Chloe as they could get. But Tess had to ask. Sisters were a sore spot for her, and she thought of Sam, missing her and at the same time glad she wasn’t there. She had gone through enough shit already.
But that was digressing. Her hands were turning the wheel as Clem pointed and Tess committed the directions to memory. Never know when they would need a fast exit and her navigator might be too busy to spit the directions back out. Though she was used to the scenario being a night out on the town with drunk friends, or after fleecing some poor soul. Escaping zombies was quickly becoming the new normal.
She tried not to dwell on it. “Think they’ll have everything we need?”
