Re: jack's room, x-mansion
[She wasn't sure if he would recognize her. She was colorless now, or that was her impression when she'd looked in the mirror that morning. She tried to remember when she'd actually seen him last. In the hallway, she thought, while she was sick and still had hair and skin the color of coffee. But it was dark in the room, and that made her feel less self-conscious about the pallor that she'd always envied in her sister.
She wore a pair of black jeans and a tank-top in the same devoid black. Her pale hair was tucked back messily, and her pallid blue eyes were having a hard time adjusting to the darkness. She was armed, of course she was, a thigh holster and long black gloves that didn't stop until they reached her upper arms.
She took a few steps into the room, hands shoved in her pockets.] I thought it worked for me. I'm thinking of bottling it. [She couldn't smell anything, and she took another few steps when he looked out the window again.] What are you looking at?
