Re: Clem/Penny
You didn't ruin a damn thing, Penny. I ain't great at friends, but even I know being friends with a soul means counting on them, and it means them counting on you. Your feelings for that man are strong as can be, no matter what you say, and you ain't convincing me otherwise.
He ain't been kind to you. That's true as can be, but I think he's just not one of them folks that says things soft. I ain't good at saying things soft neither, so I got some experience with that. Funny thing is, was Graham taught me to be nicer some. But Cris ain't been kind, and you tell him so, and you leave it at his door. He feels like making it up to you, then he can damn well try. Might be he realizes what a good friend you were to him and feels damn sorry over it.
But, honey, and it ain't no excuse, this case? It's been hounding us months, and now we got to hide and fret over dying. It takes a toll on a person some, makes them brittle bout other folks' issues. Ain't right, but it's how things are. And this man, he ain't been good since Silent Hill. I don't interact with him a whole lot, but even I can see that. Same with Stone, and she's all messed up over this case too. Just hard times. No excuse, but it might explain his reactions some.
