[Deft fingertips touched beneath the brick pinning him, and she knew there was no added benefit in allowing him to remain pinned. It might make things worse, reducing circulation, though she was pretty sure he wasn't going to thank her for the pain that resulted from the returning flow of blood. But it was something that wouldn't kill him, and it was a much better thing focus on than the blood at his temple, which she was totally (and deliberately) ignoring.
