Re: Quicklog: Vegas, Sam & Mere
Well, at least I won't scare small children when I'm out and about. That's definitely comforting. [The words were accompanied by a small smile, honest and warm.
The walk was easy, the terrain familiar to Meredith, but she was grateful for Sam's assistance in the journey. The familiar was easy, but it was impossible to make things the same each time. Things were dropped, moved out of the way, and she had already had her share of bruised shins and stubbed toes to last a lifetime in the past couple weeks.
The bench was hard, old wood and weathered by the sun, but it was comfortable enough as she settled. One leg was tucked up beneath her as well, pressed into the corner of the bench. A nod came at the mention of Louis.] I can't say he's a fan of mine, but we do know one another through Neil, yes.
[Lips parted to say something more, but she stopped as the phone buzzed, picking up on the message that must have indicated, so she was quiet until Sam spoke again.] I would like that, I think. I'm sure there's some good places in the city that can give me some help, as well.
[She reached out after a moment, groping for only a second before her hand found one of Sam's to give a tight squeeze. Her face was tilted towards her, eyes unfocused and unseeing.] This means a lot to me. More than I can possibly put into words.
