Re: Ball: Clementine, Irene & Declan
Irene asked what Clementine was looking to do, and Clementine didn't much feel like going into it. She wasn't thinking things through clear, and she didn't have a damn bit of interest in looking real deep. She wanted to dance, and she wanted to have herself a real good time. Thinking about remembering and forgetting, sussing that all out, it was too damn much for the blonde in sage. Forgetting, it was about every damn thing just then, and that was all tied and ribbon to do with girls on pyres and babies lost forever.
Clementine, she just ignored the question, and she looked on out. Her gaze lingered long on Declan, something green as her dress settled there, and then she looked on over at Irene again. Hand pressed to the other woman's arm, and Clementine gave her a real schooled smile. "Honey, I'm just going to have myself some fun. I don't want to think or look for a damn thing."
Brazen as could be, she planted a kiss to Irene's cheek, and she didn't give a damn if folks did that here, or if that was real taboo. Drawing back, she gave the woman one last smile, something making promises in lift of lips, and then she turned in that green finery, and she lost herself in the crowd of beautiful folks.
That was what she'd come for, after all. None of the rest of it mattered even a lick.
