Re: Muerte / Eddie
Well, that's all I can ask for. [Eddie's eyes lingered on her. He took a moment to appreciate that they got out of the Gotham crazy unhurt and he wondered how many people could say the same. Bruce was gone. Just as Eddie was starting to feel close to the man, he was gone. He knew it wasn't Bruce's fault, but it still hurt. And he could tell the distance between the Dark Knight and Selina was farther than it had ever been. Ah well. Eddie had Muerte, a woman who ran to him without thinking, and he could say that he was in love again for the first time since his marriage died. He never would have thought he'd get a second chance at something good.
A smile at her snort and he gave her a sly, smarmy look like he was going to pull the codpiece out of thin air.] I have an hour to meet Selina in Gotham. I'm sure we can get plenty accomplished before then. [Eyebrow waggle and then he gave her a surprised look at the mention of her ankh.] Cold? Ah, it's almost always warm when I touch it. Here- [Eddie opened a drawer in his closet and picked out the ankh amongst a sea of tie pins. He held it in the palm of his hand and then outstretched his arm so she could touch it.] Not as warm as it was when you first gave it to me. Maybe I'm just imagining things? When I think of you, I touch it. And when I think of you, I feel warm and fuzzy.
