Re: Borderlands: Kara & Rhys
"No they are not only this. Allies. You are sad they are not here, and this means they are more than this word." She said it certainly, with the annoying sureness of very young people, those that don't know better than to be smug about private things. She had no notion that maybe he was trying to salvage his pride, or maybe she didn't care. No, no, she just didn't care. Her smile was very wide, and her freckles were very bright in her pale face. There was no nuance there. She was a book open, the writing clear, and she was not thinking things about existence as he was. She wasn't stupid. She was not this thing, stupid, at all. She was created for intelligence, but she was still young in her head, and things were as she saw them, as she felt them.
And, just then she felt like showing him these things she could do.
Kal had told her she needed to be careful, and she had even yelled at the Clone about this, but she was not this herself. It did not matter here. She knew she was stronger than everything here. She had been watching, and perhaps this was smugness too. But she knew he would panic, and she enjoyed thinking of this too.
She didn't expect him to stop the ugly vehicle as he did. She was high above it when it it rolled over, and she felt only a little bit bad. But he was not dead. She used her x-ray vision to see inside. His heart beat, and the blood went through the veins in his body, and she could return to enjoying her little prank.
Inside, she could hear him speaking, but she thought it would be good to fix the ugly vehicle first, and she did this. She landed beside it, next to this closed-again door, and then she walked around the the windows in the front. She smiled at Rhys, waved, and then she pushed the ugly vehicle with one little hand, and she righted it.
