[Part of him felt wrong, like he didn't deserve to be the person she needed, leaned against, relied on. And it was sad, that maybe he was all she had. This really was the very least Neil could do but he was doing it, and even though he was shit at showing it he did care about her. Despite everything else, no matter where they went from here, that would always be true. She was warm against his side, not booze-warmth but still not unpleasant.]
