Re: quicklog: gwen/jason on the shore
[That whistling meant one thing - hospital, and now. He knew she still had spidey powers, which, if they showed up on a blood test, were going to be rough to explain. But they could cross that bridge when they came to it. He knew basic first aid, not what you did with somebody who had water in their lungs.]
Somebody'll help him. [He'd honestly forgotten that Banner was even along on her little trip, but if he'd hulked out and was running around the city, yeah, that was a problem. Still, getting her somewhere she could get medical attention, that had to be first priority.] Don't try to sit up, come on. Lay back.
[He slid his hands underneath her and picked her up, carefully, taking care to give her room to turn her head and cough up whatever else came out of her. For once, he was glad he'd worn his stupid jacket - he wrapped it around her shoulders, tying off the sleeves to keep her core warm.
He'd done this before - with random victims, with people coughing on the street as their homes burned, with the corpses of the unfortunate. Never with Gwen, though. He'd never managed to get their in time before.
So they were going to the hospital, because nothing bad was going to happen to her. Not again. Not this time.]
